Le 23 mai 2025, Jay-Jay Johanson dévoile Backstage, son 15ᵉ album, fidèle à son univers mêlant jazz, trip hop et pop, tout en explorant de nouvelles sonorités soul. Le premier single, “How Long Do You Think We’re Gonna Last?”, est sorti le 14 mars. L’album comprend un titre en français dédié à Rimbaud, une reprise de Mancini (Lujon), et des collaborations avec Harry Goaz (Twin Peaks) et Laura Delicata. Enregistré à Stockholm et masterisé à Paris par Alex Gopher, Backstage sera présenté en tournée dès l’automne, avec un concert à La Carène (Brest) le 31 octobre 2025.
